I’ve subscribed to many newsletters over the years, and most haven’t survived. As Agatha Christie once wrote, and then there were 3.

1. The Morning Brew

If I had to choose one source of information for the rest of my life it would be this sarcastic and witty newsletter. The way they describe the newsletter is very on point:

“Become smarter in just 5 minutes. Get the daily email that makes reading the news actually enjoyable. Stay informed and entertained, for free.”

They have various editions for different industries:

  • Emerging Tech Brew: AI, crypto, space, autonomous vehicles, and more
  • HR Brew: analysis of the employee-employer relationship
  • Marketing Brew: the buzziest happenings in marketing and advertising
  • Retail Brew: retail trends from DTC to “buy now, pay later”

Hope they expend into more fields in the future. Would love to get a Product Management and Entrepreneurship editions.

It’s so minimalistic and humorous, and I actually enjoy reading it with my morning brew in the office before everyone else arrive.

2. Space Cadet Ventures

While your friends get excited over the revolution of 3D printing, you’ll be thinking of how 5D printing will solve problems in the world with Space Cadet’s newsletter in your inbox.

Space Cadet will update you on the breakthroughs around the world.

3. First 1000

Did you know AirBNB founders used Obama O’s cereal boxes to raise money for their venture, which partially got YC to back them up? That the first users of Tinder were sorority houses that used the app for party selections?

If you love learning about the journey of startups to their first 1,000 users “First 1000” is the newsletter for you.
